Evidence of Beaver activity along the OPRT This is a good area for wildlife viewing. Deer often can be spotted in this area crossing the trail. Beavers are quick to submerge but evidence of beaver activity is visible. Look for chewed stumps, downed saplings, lodges and dam building activity.

At other points along the trail you can spot birds (over 175 species), snakes, rabbits, foxes, mink, and more.
Hot spring days bring out the reptiles

Herons, Egrets, Mallard Ducks and Canadian Geese  are often spotted

In winter you can't see the animals but you can see the tracks

Native flowers and grasses basically undisturbed for a thousand years
